Thanks for showing interest in WEDA’s partner’s program for the upcoming Dredging Summit & Expo in Las Vegas, NV.  We have planned a few outings that hopefully will give you a good introduction to the city of Las Vegas and its surroundings.

      • Each season, the enormously talented Horticulture and Engineering teams transform the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Gardens into a showcase of inspiring sights, sounds, scents and colors. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are all featured—along with a special display for Lunar New Year. When the seasons change, so do the displays. The talented Conservatory team changes out the design and also replants and repurposes as much of the living plant material as possible, further celebrating Mother Nature and our commitment to sustainability.

      • Join us inside the Premier Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the MGM Grand Convention Center for WEDA’s signature Ice Breaker Welcome Reception. This is the perfect place and time to meet and greet the other conference attendees. Plenty of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served along with stationary food displays and carving stations. The Welcome Reception is included with all conference & exhibitor registrations.

      • Experience the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit from creators of the blockbuster show in Paris seen by over 2 million visitors and sold over 5 million tickets in North America! Be immersed in 600,000 cubic feet of stunning projection animating the masters’ oeuvre and illuminating the mind of the genius. Wander through giant projections that highlight brushstrokes, detail, and colour as you have never experienced them. Visitors will be immersed in Van Gogh’s works — from his sunny landscapes and night scenes, to his portraits and still life paintings. The installation includes the Mangeurs de pommes de terre (The Potato Eaters, 1885), the Nuit étoilée (Starry Night, 1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889). It is astonishing in scale, breathtakingly imaginative, and a completely new look at the Master’s work.

      • The reception and dinner will be held in the MGM Grand’sPremier Ballroom and foyer on the 3rd floor of the MGM’s Convention Center., Plated dinner will be served, followed by an awards presentation for the Dredger of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient. The GALA Reception & Dinner are included with all conference and exhibitor registrations.

• Thursday, July 20th

  • POST-CONFERENCE TOUR & LUNCH RECEPTION
    • 8:45 to 12:45 – Hoover Dam Tour
    • 12:45 to 3:00 – Lunch Reception
    • $25

      • The buses for the Hoover Dam Tour leave at 9 AM and return at 12:45. Meeting location TBD.
      • The lunch reception will be at Tap Restaurant & Sports Bar, located inside the MGM Grand, lobby level.
